So, what are cookies anyways, and how do they work?
Cookies are small files which are stored on a user's computer. They are designed to hold a modest amount of data specific to a particular client and website (in this case, Renervate) and can be accessed either by the web server or the client computer.
Think of them as actual, real life cookie crumbs. You're the cookie, and the crumbs are your data left behind (but inside of your browser). Yeah, it's a little weird of an analogy, but it's the best and most clear analogy we could come up with. Work with us here...

So what are cookies used for on Renervate?
Did you see the pop-up about the Terms of Use or cookies agreement on Renervate? Cookies are used there too. How? When you select the close window button, you may notice it doesn't keep re-appearing and bothering you every time you change pages or leave the website. It remembered your action, and is pretty much what cookies are (or your cookie crumbs like we brought up earlier in that weird analogy... that data is your cookie crumb). It's also used for TrendNation, QuikTools, and other services when you log into something. It's a memory thing, basically.
That's why if you go into incognito mode, the pop up shows back up. Because in an incognito window. None of your data is preserved when you use incognito mode (including the cookies stored on your device) except for maybe that session until you close the incognito session.

About 90% of websites use cookies now. Some let you know that ahead of time, some don't. It's actually illegal in the majority (if not all) places to track your cookies without your consent. If you don't see somewhere the cookie policy of a website, you may have to have a talk with your legal department, unless they actually don't use cookies.
Most websites will also just assume you agree to the cookies if you make no confirmation/response or click the "OK" button or something similar. This is also what Renervate does, but we use a decently sized pop-up window to ask. But Renervate's cookie agreement is pretty moderate. We don't use cookies to track you like some websites so, nor ever will.

Our agreement
Renervate agrees to never collect your personal data for any reason, unless this agreement changes with proper notification. Your cookies data will always be available to you, and what you do with your cookies data is entirely up to you as it's stored on your device and not ours. We just read the cookies data that we've stored on your device. So if at any point you want to wipe all of the cookies data about Renervate, you can through your browser's settings. If you're using a Renervate app, you can always just reset the app (or in other words, clear the app data).
All cookies data stores on your device is very, very small. At least on Renervate. Therefore, it will never make a noticeable difference on your device's storage.
