THIS STORY WAS CREATED BY: LATRELL JENNINGS. Wednesday, June 7, 2017 marks a big day for Apple as they've announced a lot of great stuff. From OS's, to new products they've never done before. Here's a few of the biggest announcements they did on this day... #1: The HomePod.The Apple HomePod was first rumored to be called the "Siri Speaker" but then had it's name be the Apple HomePod. Siri Speaker in my personal opinion sounded better than HomePod along with some other people who discussed the new HomePod, but Apple decided to name it this. It's no different, the only difference is, it's supposed to deliver some really good sound. Unlike the Amazon Echo and Google Home, the HomePod is a speaker featuring the assistant everybody knows and loves, Siri. But, what really sets it aside is the what Apple said "A powerful motor drives the diaphragm a full 20 mm — remarkable for a speaker this size." with Apple Music there for you to play your tunes. It's unknown at the time if you can use other services like Spotify, and possibly Songplay, but we will have to see when it's released in December of this year. #2: The App Store. As nobody expected, Apple completely changed up the App Store. Even the icon of it has been slightly changed. In the App Store, there's virtually no similarities compared to the older App Store. Looks have been changed, there's more features, different tabs, and now (as you've probably heard multiple times) it looks like Apple Music. Just like a lot of other app updates they've done. This is only available in the upcoming iOS 11, and the iOS 11 beta which you can download now for iPhone 5S and later. Which is what we're getting into next... #3: iOS 11.Apple made some cool (and some weird) changes to iOS 11. But like Apple's highlighted, the iOS 11 update may be a "big" step for the iPhone and iPod, but the iPad receives some huge changes and features. The update makes the iPad feel a little more like Mac OS (even though it is far from it) Now, we want to put something out there right now. There's been rumors that iOS 11 was going to have the iMessage screenshot warning, but we heard nothing about it. Now, this update is definitely not major at all. Android O Beta is bigger than this, and it's kind of disappointing. Even after people kept saying that they were getting bored of the iPhone and iOS, it still remains pretty much the same. Sure, they may have a changed up notification shade that oddly looks like the lock screen, but there's nothing really "big" that blows anybody away, except for the new screen recording feature they've forbidden for years and a new file system. Now don't get too excited about the new Files app. You still can't download MP3's off of the internet, and browse through your phone. It shows a blank screen for the "On my iPhone" tab. I may add more big releases in the future, but that's about it. What do you think about Apple's WWDC17? Did you watch it? Are you impressed of Apple? In my opinion, they definitely made some big changes, and I'm very excited. But, I feel iOS 11 played kind of a big role, and they didn't do that much with iOS 11. Maybe in iOS 12?
