Buying myself a Galaxy Tab S4 (since Samsung basically owns the entire the whole Android-powered tablet space) I've found myself using some pretty nice apps for it. Facebook for social media, KineMaster for pro class video editing, Samsung Internet for browsing, Samsung Notes for notetaking, and more, but then there's Spotify... basically a stretched out phone app with some optimization for a tablet. It's the same story for Apple's iPad's, which is frustrating. The comedic thing of it all is that Apple's just recently released an update for Apple Music in the Play Store that suppprts tablets, and Apple Music is more optimized than Spotify is! And we're still talking about the Galaxy Tab! While it may not support Samsung's multi-window for some reason (you can't have it all) it works a lot better on a tablet than Spotify, but works amazing on basically every other device. There's no issues with the app besides the optimization it could desparately use, but it's just frustrating that it doesn't utilize all of that screen realestate. But it's still strange how Apple does a better job of it's music app on Android than Spotify does.
If you're looking to get the Galaxy Tab, by all means get it. App support is great for it, and Samsung has a great suite of apps optimized for it as well of course (especially if you get the Tab S3 or S4 because of the S Pen), but there's those few apps like Spotify that need to get it together. But hey... we have multi-window and pop-up view... so yay?
